Soft Robotic Tool provides new 'eyes' in endovascular surgery
Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart have developed a soft robotic tool that promises to one day transform minimally invasive endovascular surgery. The two-part magnetic tool can help to visualise in real time the fine morphological details of partial vascular blockages such as stenoses, even in the narrowest and most curved vessels. It can also find its way through severe blockages such as chronic total occlusions. This tool could one day take the perception of endovascular medical devices a step further: is.mpg.de/news/soft-robotic-tool-provides-new-eyes-in-endovascular-surgery

Pangolin the inspiration for medical robot
Переглядів 12 тис.11 місяців тому
Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart have developed a magnetically controlled soft medical robot with a unique, flexible structure inspired by the body of a pangolin. The robot is freely movable despite built-in hard metal components. Thus, depending on the magnetic field, it can adapt its shape to be able to move and can emit heat when needed, allowing fo...
Jellyfish-like robots could one day clean up the world’s oceans

Roboticists at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart have developed a jellyfish-inspired underwater robot with which they hope one day to collect waste from the bottom of the ocean. The almost noise-free prototype can trap objects underneath its body without physical contact, thereby enabling safe interactions in delicate environments such as coral reefs. Jellyfish-Bot c...

Microrobot collectives display versatile movement patterns
Переглядів 2,7 тис.2 роки тому
Collective behavior and swarm patterns are found everywhere in nature. Robots can also be programmed to act in swarms. Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI-IS), Cornell University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University have developed collectives of microrobots, which they can move in every formation they wish. The research project was published in Nature Communicatio...

A team of scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the University of California, Irvine constructed a robot leg that, like its natural model, is very energy efficient. BirdBot benefits from a foot-leg coupling through a network of muscles and tendons that extends across multiple joints. In this way, BirdBot needs fewer motors than previous legged robots and could, theo...

Striving to improve touch sensing in robotics, scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems developed a thumb-shaped sensor with a camera hidden inside and trained a deep neural network to infer its haptic contact information. I had a dream where time crystals are used as RAM in a computer. Light would encrypt a frequency onto a time crystal, this frequency can be decoded at a later time by passing light through the time crystal and analysed the interference caused by the crystal. A value is produced what is cross referenced with a library of babel style catalogue that stores a set of instructions. Instructions stored and read at the speed of light. With a indefinite amouts of different energy lvls a indefinite amount of information could be stored, each energy lvl referencing a different set of instructions. Phase conjugate can be used as a logic gate for lightning fast processing aswell.

    Hallo. Ich komme aus Südkorea. Ich habe als Student vom Max-Planck-Institut erfahren, aber ich hatte nicht erwartet, über UA-cam darüber zu schreiben. Wir kennen sie als die beste Forschungsorganisation der Welt. Der Grund für das Schreiben dieses Artikels ist es, ein Video vorzustellen, über das Sie ernsthaft über den in Korea hergestellten LK99 nachdenken sollten. Die Person in dem Video ist ein gewöhnlicher koreanischer technischer Büroangestellter, der die Nachricht von LK99 hörte und seine eigene Produktion zu Hause herstellte. Aus Sicht des Max-Planck-Instituts mag das Video sehr mangelhaft sein, aber es ist schwierig, es mit dem Wissen zu interpretieren, das allgemein in der Schule gelernt wird, also schreibe ich dies an das beste Institut der Welt. Dies ist ein Video über Supraleiter, an dem jeder Wissenschaftler interessiert ist, also schauen Sie es sich bitte an und geben Sie uns einige Ratschläge.

    Are nanorobots biodegradable? Can these be used as a bioweapon? Is this what is used in the vaccines with the artificial consciousness? Can they be used to manipulate the human body?

    • @AlexaCroft
      @AlexaCroft 2 місяці тому

      1. no, probably in the future.. the way you would get rid of this would be though your white blood cells finding them as foreign objects and taking them and delivering them to the excrement zone (taking a shit with nano bots), 2. Not this kind, this kind would need to be injected directly into the host body -> specific area plus they would need a really strong magnet to make them move anyway. 3. vaccines yes, artificial consciousness no.(i find the "artificial consciousness" a very dumb question sorry to say) 4. no, if you are referring to making smoeone move a certain way and lose control of their limbs, speech, etc

    Wow..... The possibilities of this technology is limitless- 1. No more chemotherapy for cancer patients as the conventional method affects healthy cells along with the cancerous cells. Using these nanoparticles drugs can be delivered at exactly location keeping the healthy cells intact. 2. Since nano particles are able to go inside the eye a plethora of visual diseases like eye floaters, Macular degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal detachment can be treated with minimum surgical intervention. 3. Nanobots can be used to heal and repair damaged cells inside our body thereby increasing our life expectancy...... This is a scientific revolution..... I remember seeing GI Joe the rise of Cobra when I was a child. Seeing that movie I used to wonder if it could be really possible to create such nano objects like this. Today we are at the verge of creating something like that. ......kudoos science..... But yeah, the possibility of misuse does exist, but then considering the fact therapeutic effects I strongly believe that we must carry out further research on this field before it can be fully deployed!!!

I mean in lecture we saw product rule, sum rule, conditional probability etc...but then in graphs we started factorization using joint probability. Why? What is the idea behind doing/finding joint probability of x1..xp? I have already checked over net that joint prob would give an idea about which variable are dependent on other..but then how is this related to our graph learning?..Many thanks in advance
